Intrinsic is an agency based in Scotland, UK that works primarily with local businesses on projects involving magazine designs, video and website design and development. Intrinsic’s website was revamped to coincide with their company rebranding at the end of 2017.
As an agency they wanted to really showcase the work they're proud of, and when you land onto the website you can see how this is achieved by using large tiles that click through to each case study. The overall result has a clean interface, is easy to use and demonstrates immediately the type of projects Intrinsic is about.
Because this website used heavy amounts of imagery to present the company's portfolio, special consideration went into ensuring that all images were optimised to load quickly without sacrificing the quality. Most websites consume large amounts of internet data for their pages (which is usually a culprit of too many unoptimised images and assets) and a typical website uses around 2.4mb in total whereas Intrinsic's homepage only consumes 1.5mb on initial load (for desktop users).
